These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Yisi AI Education (HK) Technology Limited (“Yisi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Yisi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Yisi provides digital learning tools for A-Level and IGCSE students and other learners. Depending on the feature, the service may support photo-based question answering, question recognition, AI explanations, question-bank matching, practice-paper generation, wrong-question management, and learning analytics.

Yisi is a learning aid. It does not replace a teacher, examiner, school, or professional adviser, and it does not guarantee any examination result, grade, admission outcome, or other academic result. AI-generated or automatically recognised content may contain errors. You should check important answers and decisions against authoritative course or examination materials.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You may use Yisi only if you can form a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. If you are a minor, you should use Yisi with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian where required by law.

If an account is required, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use Yisi for an unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
  • interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • upload content that infringes another person’s rights, contains malware, or is unlawful;
  • use automated systems to scrape, copy, or overload the service; or
  • submit another person’s personal data without the right or permission to do so.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of questions, notes, images, documents, and other content that you submit to Yisi. You grant Yisi a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to submit the content. You should not submit confidential examination materials or personal data that is not needed for the feature.

5. Intellectual property

Yisi and its underlying software, design, branding, features, question-bank materials, generated interface elements, and other content are owned by or licensed to Yisi and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

6. Free access

All currently available Yisi features and learning content are provided free of charge. Yisi does not offer paid digital content, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or external purchase options. Access to Yisi content is not conditional on a purchase made through another platform.

7. Privacy

The Yisi Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal data. By using Yisi, you acknowledge that you have read that policy.

8. Third-party services

Yisi may rely on third-party platforms or services for app distribution, hosting, storage, diagnostics, AI processing, or image processing. Their availability and operation may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent services or policies.

9. Availability, disclaimers, and liability

We will use reasonable efforts to keep Yisi available, but we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every learning goal. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature for operational, security, legal, or business reasons.

To the extent permitted by law, Yisi is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, Yisi will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate user submissions, third-party service failure, or events outside our reasonable control.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the service, create security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Yisi at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated version on this page and change the effective or updated date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Continued use after the effective date means that you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law, the courts of Hong Kong will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service.
